If you’ve got the room, games like pinball machines, air hockey, bubble hockey and even a pool table are a lot more affordable than you might think. But before you go racing out the door to buy one of these good time devices, there are a few things you’ll want to consider first.
For starters, you need to remember that many of these games are quite large. Most standard pool tables are around seven or eight feet long. But when you factor in the amount of room you’ll actually need to hit the balls that number expands dramatically. So while you’ll definitely see plenty of pool tables for sale on sites like Craigslist you’ll definitely want to get out the tape measure before you go out and grab one of them.
Would be billiard table owners should also keep in mind that these items are very heavy. If you’re the type who moves around a lot, you’re probably better off heading down to the bar after work to get your pool fix. But if you’ve got the room, go for it!
